Advocates of Drinking Responsibly
IWBDA members are comitted to being "part of the solution" in the prevention of Advocates of Drinking Responsibly Beer distributors and brewers are absolutely committed to reducing drunk driving, illegal underage drinking and alcohol abuse. They are deeply involved in the communities in which they live and do business. The industry has spent over $200 million over the last 10 years to fund research, public safety, and education and prevention campaigns to curb alcohol abuse.

Educate Youth on Underage and Illegal Drinking:
- Distributed “Responsible Events” planning kits for 41 special events.
- Distributed “We ID” point-of-sale materials to over 200 convenience and liquor stores.
- Distributed over 500 copies of “Let’s Keep Talking” via in-store displays.
Promote the Responsible Consumption of our Product:
- Placed 20 billboards promoting responsible consumption.
- Sponsored for the 19th year, the Miller Lite Safe Ride. In 2010, 1,112 people were given safe rides home. Over the past 19 years Iowa Beverage Systems has provided safe rides home to more than 13,500 people.
Retailer/Server Training:
- Hosted 4 Training For Intervention ProcedureS (TIPS) training classes at Iowa Beverage Systems where approximately 170 servers were trained.
Partner with Law Enforcement:
- Provided over 100 Drivers License ID books to special events and licensed accounts.
